Biography


Sarah Scova Klug represents residential real estate clients, property owners and tenants, business start-ups, trademark and copyright registrants, and entertainment personalities.  She practices a wide variety of transactional law.

Mrs. Klug started her legal career with the Louis-Dreyfus Corporation. She continued her training at The Readers Digest Association, learning contract law, corporate business formations and corporate secretary maintenance. She was responsible for both domestic and international corporate maintenance for Readers Digest.

As Associate General Counsel for multi-national corporation, Blyth Industries, Mrs. Klug was responsible for the intellectual properties of the company, whose trademarks included at that time Sterno® (now a registered trademark of the Sterno Group), PartyLite®
(now a registered trademark of PartyLite Worldwide),
and Colonial Candle of Cape Code®.

In 2002, Mrs. Klug opened a Solo Practice in Poughkeepsie, New York.  Mrs. Klug now includes real estate law (sale/purchase of real property, short sales, re-financing, foreclosures, landlord/tenant disputes, etc.) along with corporate law and intellectual properties.

Sarah Scova Klug was admitted to practice law in New York and Connecticut in 1996. Mrs. Klug received her J.D. from Pace University School of Law.

Education
Before attending Pace University School of Law, Mrs. Klug graduated summa cum laude from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York, where she earned the Gold Medal of Academic Excellence, having the highest GPA in her major of  Law
Studies.

Personal Life
Mrs. Klug is married to Thomas Klug and they have two
sons.

Their 4-legged family members include Buddy and
Cooper (our dogs),  Cady, Abbie and Max (our cats);
Becky (our bunny)
